I am currently nursing my fourth child. He is 13 months old, full of energy, and still breastfeeding like a champ. Throughout the years, I’ve come to fine tune my nursing regime, so to speak. I know what works and what doesn’t and I have always said that my breastfeeding pillow was my top favorite nursing accessory. I’ve used mine with every child and for extended periods of time. I will be sad when I no longer need one because I have weaned my last nursling.
I thought it would be helpful to expecting mamas to compile a list of the available options for nursing pillows. You have a great variety of choices and you really can’t go wrong when choosing!
1.Leachco Cuddle-U Nursing Pillow and More
This pillow is one of my favorites because of the neat velcro strap that is great for when you aren’t nursing and baby is lying on the floor or just learning how to sit.
2.My Brest Friend Original Pillow
This pillow is popular because of the back support and buckle that helps prevent it from sliding and slipping. They even have a twin nursing pillow for nursing mamas of twins, triplets and more!
3.NurSit Nursing Pillow with Removable Pink Slipcover, Dots Print
This option is filled with hypoallergenic mircrofibers and comes with a bonus slipcover.
4.Dr. Brown’s Gia Nursing Pillow
This pillow is thin on one end and thick on the other to grow with baby. It is also ideal for various nursing positions if you don’t have a prominent one.
5.Boppy Pillow with Slipcover, Lots O Dots
This is likely the most popular option. It’s the brand that I’ve heard recommended the most often by other nursing mothers that I’ve known. It’s the u-standard pillow. There are tons and tons of available slipcovers in different patterns and colors.
6.Leachco Natural Boost – Adjustable Nursing Pillow
This option is good for those who need to give their babies a little extra boost while also providing arm support.
7. Comfort & Harmony Mombo Covered Nursing Pillow
While this one has a similar shape to many of the others, it features two different comfort levels. One side is firm while the other is more soft. It also includes a vibration unit that is inserted inside the pillow.
8. Luna Lullaby Bosom Baby Nursing Pillow, Chevron Grey
Created with the help of a speech pathologist to help with latch, this v-shaped pillow is one of the larger options available right now.It is covered in soft minky and does not have any zippers or velcro.
