Thank you so much for your interest in writing for Breastfeeding Place!
Breastfeeding Place is very pro-breastfeeding, but not militant in its approach. We know there are some circumstances that prevent women from breastfeeding. While we always want to boast about the great benefits of breastfeeding, we also want to give all women support and viable options, meeting them where they are—that’s why you’ll find info on our site about options for women who are unable to breastfeed (homemade formula, donor milk, etc.).
You can read more about Breastfeeding Place here.

What is a Regular Contributor?
As a regular author you will be part of a growing team of breastfeeding advocates, helping to support women as they learn more about the hows and whys of breastfeeding. We value the diverse writing styles and situations the writers on our team have experienced and know that this is of great value to our readers.
We are looking for authors that are excited to write for Breastfeeding Place and want to stick with us! We value authors that are creative and think of innovative ways to reach our audience, interact with them, and provide them with the resources they need.
- Regular contributors are responsible to submit a draft of 1-2 blog posts every month on the 15th of that month.
- We are looking mostly for writing that is informative in nature and based on solid research.
- Occasionally writing that is story-oriented in nature and designed to inspire and encourage is appropriate.
- This post should be 500-1000 words in length. To give you ideas about what to write, we will provide you with a list of titles and keywords people are searching for online. Of course, we are also open to your ideas as well!
- Contributors do NOT need to provide images for posts. Our graphic designer will take care of all images.
- Each contributor will also have a short bio and picture at the end of each post.
.
Author Benefits
- Every regular contributor will have a dedicated author bio page. You are also welcome to include links to your blog, website(s), and any social networking sites you are a part of.
- Authors are invited to pin any or all of their posts from their own website to a group board on our Pinterest account. These posts are then re-pinned to highly relevant boards. This is just another way we can help send some traffic your way!
- Authors who write on baby care or other relevant topics on their personal websites are welcome to share these posts on the Breastfeeding Place Facebook page.
- Authors will be paid $15 for each post that meets the minimum requirements.
One final note: many of our authors hold to a Christian faith and value system and so will many of our readers. As such, it is important that nothing be published on our site that is contrary to those values.
